At seven months, Lily is a canine teenager, full of herself and testing her boundaries. What she is doing is called "resource guarding". It will only get worse unless you handle it properly now.
I'd really suggest trying the Nothing in Life is Free program with Lily. It puts you in charge of the resources and makes Lily work for them. It is recommended by the Humane Society.
