Well this is what I was told to do and things went pretty smoothly. I had a 2 year old yorkie who I was going to introduce to the 2 new pups. I took them to a seperate location and introduced them slowly. The pups were in the carrier for a few minutes while I let my alpha doggie check them out. then I unzipped the carrier and let them come out one by one. My older one Belle just kept sniffing and then chased them around kind of in aw for a few minutes. After that they all got to ride together in the backseat....and so far so good.
I was told do this because Belle was an only dog so I'm not sure if you would need to introduce them outside the home turf. |
