ANd all the time lost at work, and many hours of lost sleep too! That is for three puppies, 1 I kept for myself.

And then there's always the sometimes not even thought about "regular things". Like feeding mommie. She has to eat too, and if she doesn't get the right nutrition during pregnancy, you're in for a lot more problems. Then there's the feeding after the pups are born. A lot of people think that you don't have to worry about the pups cuz mom feeds them. Phooey!! Whatever mom eats, goes thorough her to the puppies. So if you feed her junk, the pups get junk. And there's the suppliments she needs to stay healthy while she's nursing. It runs into the hundreds to just feed the mom. Then, after the pups are weaned, you have to feed them in addition to the vet normal care, pee-pads, LAUNDRY, and a multitude of toilet paper and paper towels costs. I've never actually broke it down totally. Maybe I'll do that right after the two litters I currently have.
