I never used the split word,
but a false pregnancy happened to one of our females and she had .... so ... soo.. heat cicles 2 months appart for 2 or 3 times.
we did not breed her until she had one complete normal cicle, then next complete normal cicle 6 months later we bred her.
success with 5 puppies. Then we let her rest for one cicle and bred her again for the last time next heat. 4 healthy puppies. then retirement.
at total she gave us 3 litters
