Default Spaying a really small yorkie and using human fish oil questions.

I have a 2 part question. I had Fiona at the vet yesterday due to some hair lose she has suffered. She has extremely dry skin. My vet reccommended (amoung other things) I take human fish oil pills and pucture them with a needle. I am to put the liquid on Fiona's food. Another YT memeber told me she may have read that giving dogs human fish oil is a big no no. Has anyone heard this? Possibly it is a bad thing if you give the whole pill not the liquid inside??

While we were there he asked about having her spayed. She is 9 months and weighs 2.8lbs. I have heard the horror stories of little ones not coming back from surgery. Should I or should I not? There are benificial reasons but there are great risks too. I want to do what is best for her despite my fear!
