Never give them rawhides. I almost lost Muffin when she was one or two yrs old. She had chewed a piece until it was soft and yucky then swallowed it - only it didn't go all the way down her throat. She choked and I had to get it dislodged. If I hadn't been able to do that, then I would have lost her. I had her upside down and everything else. Finally, it came out! Now, that would have been 1992 or 1993.
Well, now they have bully sticks. I gave those to Kacee. But she doesn't chew on anything anymore.
