The lady knew I wasn't planning on selling the puppies and she offered to pay for one. i needed to know if she really wanted the puppy to love. I figured she just becuase one becuase it would be cheaper than a pure breed.

I have great homes lined up three of them, for free. I am keeping one. One is going to my best friend and two are going to my boyfriends mother. but they both have told me that if someone was willing to buy one it would would be okay to them. If i was going to sell one to a stranger, the stranger would have to work for it. And most people wont do that for a mutt. And I dont need the money. I just want great homes for the little ones. =)
I'm not sure what the circumstances were with how she got pregnanant as I have not followed any of this. Personally, there are so many mixed breeds out there or designer dogs as they name named them that I think $400 is a very very fair price. If you don't need the money and you weren't planning on selling and only looking for a good home for them, then why no take the $400 and donate it to a shelter or half to the shelter and then return the other half AFTER the little on this woman is getting is spayed or neutered. This would help prevent more mixed breeds being born and shelters being overpopulated more then they are. Like everyone has posted, I too am just being honest. Elaine
