Just wondering if he is already 4-5 pds or if she is telling you that is hes aprox adult weight....
did you ask the weight of the parents or see thier picture???
An estimate age can be extimated by doubling the weight at 12 weeks or tripling it at 8 weeks
My puppy was 2.8 pds at 12 weeks she is a 1 year old spayed female and weighs 5.4 pds.. so it did work in my case but there are many who did not.
He could be an 8 -12 pd adult if you went by the weight charts... but it really does depend on the parents...
To me it sounds like the parents may not have been " standard" yorkies..
