From the time I was a little girl, I haven't had a dog that peed in the bed. One thing I did when they were puppies, though, was set the alarm and take them out during the night and then we would go back to bed. This was usually a two-month ordeal. I always felt safer with them in the bed, because I could keep an eye on them and know if they were OK, especially when they were old. I think if you're going to get them, you might as well spoil them rotten.
