I brought my yorkie to do basic grooming before she was fully vaccinated (I was so silly)!!! Ended up she has this kennel cough and I brought her to vet, vet gave some antibiotic and medicine, it actually took about 1 week for Sugar to stop coughing, but the vet also told me some kennel cough might drag to months to recover
