I am also a fan of home cooking for my dogs and did so for the first five years of their lives. My two dogs are older (9) so we now do a combo of home cooked and commercial food. When I buy commercial food, I go with Merrick canned grammy's pot pie for the boys (Daisy is a liver shunt baby on a prescription diet and home cooked).

But you're right - dog food is frustrating - it seems you find one you like and then there is some sort of issue that crops up. I dropped Wellness a while back after learning they were being sued for false and deceptive advertising. I did like it though!
