She's an AKC recognized breeder - would this be something I could take up with the AKC if she isn't receptive?

sorry but the AKC doesn't get involved in these kinds of disputes;
the contract was for 48 hours only with no hereditary disease coverage; I doubt the breeder will help at all; I'm just a small,breeder but even I give a one year guarantee.
