I too have Trupanion pet insurance and they are great! I filed a claim earlier this year with them for my lil one and it was taken care of super fast and I didn't have to worry about the financial aspect of my vet bill. Trupanion is affordable and has already paid for itself. Having that accident happen this summer, and needing surgery..it can be costly! you never know when something can happen. Definitely worth looking into!
If you are shopping around, I have learned by looking at other policies that pet owners should avoid routine coverage (regular exams, vaccines, etc), because you are just paying the costs through higher premiums thus not saving any money, and in most cases, losing money.
Just make sure to ask a lot of questions and read the policies before deciding on one you will buy...and see what is best for you and your doggie. Good luck!
