I think it is all up to you. If you think the dogs hair is getting to long for your taste then go ahead and get a puppy cut. I know adults dogs that go to the groomer every 3 months some only twice a year. And as a puppy their hair all grows differently. Bailey only got her first hair cut at 8 months. ( I do admit is was overdue..lol) goodluck with everytrhing.
