How I got Jasmine used to the bands was using two instead of one. At first I was just using one to put her hair up with and she would rub her head on the floor and "presto" it was out in a few minutes. Now i make the first pony tail then make another right behind the first one and put the two together. I always make sure I put them up loose enough where there are comfortable for her. It also gives me a great place to attach a clip-on ribbon or barrett between where the ponytails are joined together. This "joined" pony tail never comes out.
