I don't hate pitbulls, because I have known several that are bigger babies than my own dog and would probably make the worst guard dogs ever in terms of lack of aggressiveness...however, I HATE and ABSOLUTELY CANNOT STAND how it seems that, in South Florida, every other dog owner has AT LEAST one pitbull because by no means are that many people QUALIFIED to own and train that breed properly. There are several in our condo complex (we have a 40 lb weight limit) that absolutely scare the daylights out of me (especially when I'm walking little Stella), and one that poops next to our porch who I would LOVE to catch doing so at some point.

Personally, I think it's cruel to have a dog that athletic and large in a condo that's only big enough for about 20 lbs of dog. Asking for trouble. One family that Stella & I walk past every day on our walk has TWO GIANT pitbulls...probably the biggest I've ever seen, definitely not to any breed standard. They always bark at us and jump up on the patio door and I'm scared one day they'll knock it off the track or something...OH and this family has a young infant. Just scary scary and unfair to those dogs.
