We all hate paying those fees and having our dogs travel like your carry on luggage. But, in the right carry on.....(I hate sherpas, they're too soft sided), the traveling is less stressful on them than it is on us. I've traveled to dog shows with my dogs a lot.....I make sure they are pottied and once on the plane they sleep. If for some reason they get restless....off I go to the bathroom, dog in tow. Put down a piddle pad, out they come from the carrier and on the floor they go......they get a bit of excercise....back in the carrying bag and back to sleep. Once we deplane.....I buy a bottled water, off to the restroom, into a stall....piddle pad down and give them a bit of water.......
