I don't think you're overreacting - chocolate is
poisonous for dogs. In most chocolate loaf recipes, semi-sweet would *usually* be used, but who knows.
At this point, it's rather moot that he is *not* lethargic...bc chocolate digests SO slowly in dogs (this is part of the reason it is
poisonous to dogs).
How long ago did it happen?
Do you have hydrogen peroxide at home?
