Sydney will bark and growl ( alot) but the vet handles her very well . She is firm but has never tapped/smacked her nose or given a correction like that , she holds her a certain way ( which I can't duplicate ) and lets her know she is in charge and not there to hurt her , and Syd will eventually calm down. I think some dogs are more fearful than others and since it was his first time acting like this I feel he was more scared than agressive. BUT I agree if he continues to act this way in other situations , you need to put a stop to it.
I can't say if I would leave over it , But if you feel uncomfortable than go with your gut. |
Thanks for your story......I think Im gonna just find another. This isnt the ONLY problem I have with this guy....hes hmmm let me choose my words carefully lol.......rough? In the way he handles them and such, not with love and compassion from what I can tell on the times Ive been in, Rylie did not go to him when the chocolate incidence happened, so I have only shots to base my opinion on. I just feel like he isnt as loving as he could be, I mean, sure not everyone loves my dog the way I do, but its just the way he acts, I guess you would have to see him to understand what I mean....I guess everyone knows Ryile is a Maltese and not a Yorkie lol...that may make a difference lol. I mean the temperament of the 2 could be different?
