Don't be afraid! She will sense that. She's obviously not aggressive-just fearful. Plus, she was probably correct in biting the puppy.... puppies tend to be obnoxious (lol) and the older dogs will nip at them to correct them when they're too rough. She was just doing what came naturally to her. They teach each other. She'd probably make better friends with a dog her age and she will get used to the puppy. Jackson literally loves every single dog he meets and goes to the dog park weekly, but my aunt got a young puppy and when I brought Jackson over... for the first hour, he was just concerned with correcting the pup and nipped a few times at him, he was not being aggressive and eventually just caved in to the puppies play.
