 Other Dogs
Help! I tried my best to adjust Bailey to all sorts of people and situations when she was younger. For the most part I think she's pretty well adjusted. But one thing I didn't expose her to much was other dogs. She seems interested but okay when we pass dogs on walks. But it was another story when my friend brought her new puppy over. I thought Bailey would make friends with him, but she was scared of him. He was a playful puppy so he chased her around a bit, and eventually I just kept them apart. But she seemed kind of interested and approached him while he was sleeping, so later I tried again, but she got so freaked out when he came near her she tried to bite him! I don't want Bailey to be terrified of other dogs and especially no biting! I've been wanting to take her to a dog park but now I'm afraid to.
Should I have my friend bring her puppy over again? How to I adjust her to other dogs without her freaking out to the point of biting? |
