Tucker was going to be named Noah. We had a puppy (we got from a pet store
) who died after a month, and the vet who worked his butt off to save him (and eventually helped us get our money back from the store) was Dr. Tucker. One day my mom and I were still trying to affirm a name for "Noah" (couldn't decide between Noah or Brady) and my dad came home and said "Dr. Tucker says *blah blah blah*." and my mom and I looked at each other and said "Tucker!"
and that's how he got his name.
Then we chose his registered name - Tuck Everlasting - because that is one of my favorite books and I thought it was appropriate.
