You do need to find someone close to you that has been in the breed for many many years, someone who is well established with their own line. Go to as many shows as you can and you will meet the Yorkie breeeder/exhibitors in your area. Take it nice and slow.
Do not be in a hurry, enjoy getting to know everyone and once they see you are indeed serious about learning, someone will take you under their wing.
Also, there are many wonderful show breeders that you can learn things from, we are always learning from each other, and there is always something new to learn no matter how many years you have been in the breed.
Look on the YTCA site to see who is in your area.
