The National Specialty is hosted by the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America......The have the National in NY every year in February the weekend before Westminster.......Yorkies from all over the US, Europe, Canada, Mexico come to compete. It is a conformation competition. You have Sweepstakes (which is puppies on Friday), Saturday the Yorkshire Terrier Club of NY has their Specialty and Sunday The Yorkshire Terrier Club of America has theirs. 3 days of beautiful yorkies, exhibited by some of the top breeders from all over. Wonderful fun vendors. Saturday Night there is a Yorkshire Terrier Dinner (anyone can attend, see the YTCA.org page)......entertainment and auction......fun yorkie stuff being auctioned off. Accross the from the garden on Friday there is the Progressive dog show at the Penn Hotel....Westminster starts the following Monday........

The YTCA also holds a Roving Specialty....this year it will be held in Las Vegas in October. Last year it was in Memphis....with our own Bravo916/Kristena's dog Havoc taking Winners Dog.......
