When I first brought Missy home, I don't think she'd ever had a toy.
I squeaked on of her squeaky toys and she ran under the bed! It took a few days, but she got over it.
She is also afraid of the vacuum cleaner, but only when it's on!
When it's off, she barks at it and climbs on it like, Take that! lol.
I think your little one just needs a little time and she'll be fine!!
