I am very sorry you are going through this. I had a Min Pin that at 10 months old got hit by a car. It broke her hip terribly and left her with nerve damage to her back legs. One was much worse than the other. Because she was still able to walk on it the vet recommended leaving it, but the tip turned under. So, she walked on the top side of her back foot. People were disgusted to see it deformed like that, and if she ever broke open the callouse that had formed for padding, it would have required amputation. We recently had to put her to sleep due to complications from that injury. She was only 10. Looking back, I do wish they would have amputated that leg right from the get go. Her quality of life would have been so much better and she would have delt with less pain over the years. Hugs!
