Yep, I know what you mean. I had to learn how to change the size of my pictures then save them that way to post them here or just about any where else.
If you have an image software that probably came with your camera just change the size of the picture and save it that way. 5x7 works good for me. You may need to take the time to play around with it if you have never used it before.
