Along with checking the YTCA breeder referral site, I always suggest people attend a dog show (or several shows, if possible). You can see many different yorkies, their breeders, ask questions and get a better idea of the breeders ethics, procedures and what you are looking for in your yorkie.
Even if you don't connect with a breeder from the show, you will have gained alot of useful information.
