I don't have a problem with people calling my babies dogs. They ARE dogs and they always will be a dog. Some people are just not attached emotionally to animals as some may be. I call mine my babies all the time or I call them " baby girl, or baby boy ". I also will say infront of people " mama's baby ". Some people just don't share the same opinions though. You shouldn't get upset over it.
