I deworm all the puppies at 3 weeks, 7 and 10 weeks anyways. I use Pyrantel .
Then just before sending them home i use PANACUR-c for 3 or 5 days.
We do fecal exams on the puppies, but since our dogs go outside , get monthly heartworm meds... we do all we are supposedly to do , still, every once in a great while i have people reporting a puppy tested positive for worms when they take it to their own vets.
I have searched and talked to vets. i get the same answer... i have other dogs and they go to the dog park, beach ... pet store...
I know some breeders only de-worm if they get positive fecal exams.
I guess it is a personal decision. You need to think what could be best for you, your dogs, puppies and new parents.
I also belive it will depend on your area. We have winter here, but i keep the same routine for the litters.
XOXO
