I store mine in a ziploc bag in the cabinet. Others put theirs in the freezer. As far as how long they last - that depends on how much and how strong your pup(s) chew.
Some can have one gone in less than an hour, for others it takes days to chew completely. If you only have one yorkie, just place a small order (6 maybe) until you can guage how fast you go through them. If you buy good ones, they won't go bad. DO NOT buy unwrapped ones from a store! They can carry all kinds of bacteria and contaminents.
