I have never used the whelping pudding either, but have all the ingredience on hand in case we need it. Abby usually doesn't eat very well right after the puppies are born so do supplement with nuti-stat every evening. This ususally gets her appetite going after a few days. I also steam a chicken breast to add to her food as I know that she will eat this no matter what.

I also have Happy Jack Milkade that I purchased last litter, but didn't use as she only had 3 puppies. Has anyone used this product? If I remember right this is a good source of calcium.
