We are more a a small rural community here. (no rescues or shelters) some of the vets can usually find a foster for abandoned pets. I usually ask my dad but he is a "big dog person" (labs, shepards ect...) I tell him I will convert him, but it has not happened yet lol. I really hope I can help. I think I will call the lady and ask her if she is willing to keep the pups until they are older- it is worth a try. (duh me) May be it is vet care she is worried about with the economy???? who knows but I will see what I can do
