Good morning yorkie family from freezing cold Memphis.

This discussion has taken place on here before about breed specific rescue groups.....but I just saw a story on Early Today about a whole plane full of chiuaua that were sent to new homes in New York and somewhere else from California.....

This was attributed to people buying them in droves after they were used as a fashion accessory by Paris Hilton. They said that then the people saw how they need a great deal of attention and hands on, tired of them, and gave them up in droves.


This is so sad, but I am glad that rescues are in place to help these little ones. They were awfully cute.

It suffices to say that one should know about a breed before getting one. It would be like getting a yorkie without understanding that you have to comb that hair everyday and all the other stuff they require.
