I just purchased a Yorkie that is 1 years old, I was told very good with kids heathy etc. They also said she was shy at first and would warm up. I have had her home all day and realize she is going to need to adjust, she is terrified of everything, she is good with my children, she sat on their laps all day and does not look like she has any potential of being mean. I am taking her to the vet this week but I have never seen a dog not wag its tail at all. She just looks very unhappy, she loves to have her stomach rubbed and the attention but seems very afraid. Even comes to me to be picked up but shys away when you approach. Has anyone experienced this much shyness. I have had dogs all my life but have never seen a little one look so sad and this timid, she crouches down like she is afraid I am going to hit her, which I would never do. She is precious but I am worried maybe she has a different past than I was told, she wont even walk through the doorways. Any advice
