Well, Hills does have a few nice rx foods (and I know that is arguable, but sometimes they are necessary) and vets get used to the brand because of that. Hills is also into nutrition education for vet students and they do give out free products, so it is just what vets have learned. With any food sold at a vet's office (no matter the brand), the vet will be making money on it most of fthe time whether it is SD, Iams, Innova, etc.
There are vets out there that don't constantly push SD or Iams though...
