well my vet doesnt recommend science diet and they sell it.. SO NOT every vet recommends it. That being said...being that your mom's dog just got done being sick, did they put her dog on a prescription science diet??? Like i/d or r/d.. if the dog was put on a special diet then I highly recommend the dog stay on it.. if not that if she is happy with switching then switch away..
