I have a little girl (well not so little she weights 6 3/4 lbs. not preg.) who is due around Jan 29. This is her 3rd litter, her first litter she had 4 puppies and the second she had 3. Abby is already fairly big and she has about 3 weeks to go, so thinking she may be having a large litter. Is there anything special that I should be doing other than the normal prenatal care? Also, Is there any extra problems that can come from having a large litter? Most of the reading that I have done is for normal size litters and they don't really talk about large litters. I want to make sure that I am prepared for anything. We go to the vet on the 18th for an x-ray to find out how many to expect.
I just know that Abby is already very uncomfortable and she usually didn't get that way until right before her delivery date. Thank you guys for all your great information. I learn so much from reading all the posts. I probably spend too much time reading all of them. haha
