The best possible advice I can give you is if you haven't found a mentor, that would be your first step, one that has been involved in yorkies for years and has an established, well known line. Next take canine genetic, breeding and whelping classes.

Testing your yorkies is not inexpensive. Besides all the required blood tests, bile acids, x-rays, temperament tests. There are OFA and CFA tests.

Breeding is not an easy journey.......
