Every time I see one of my girls through the hours of pain of a delivery, the days of pain caused by a c-section, the tear wrenching despair when you take a lifeless puppy away from their side.. I know it's because I asked this of them.. this was my idea, my fault. If things go wrong, it was my doing. My girls do not ask for this, but they comply because they trust me. I either deserve that trust or I don't.
I only ask this of the BEST of what we produce, certainly not of all that we produce .. and I only ask it of them for a short period in their lives.. because they trust me.
I would never ask this of any of my girls on a whim.. we are dealing with their lives every time they are bred. EVERY time.
Breeding is serious business and it has to be taken seriously.
Please read all you can, get some videos on whelping.. find someone in your area who can mentor you if you decide to proceed with this. Before you do anything, try and find the real reason you want to breed your girl.. what is your goal.. why are you breeding her? Is it worth possibly loosing her for whatever reason you have? When you can honestly answer those questions.. then read some more.
