Like most dogs, my little guy has that crusty yuck caught in the fur at the inside corner of both eyes. My girlfriend usually uses her fingernail to just scratch it out on her dog, but Ruger is so small I can't get a good grip on his little head to do this, and when I try he runs away, though he comes back in a few minutes.

I'm sure there is nothing wrong with him, but what method do most of you use to perform this grooming procedure?
