I never cut their back hair, maybe to cut knots out but that is it. I love the long flowing hair. As long as I bathe them once a week or so and keep up with brushing Their hair is just like combing mine. The face hair I cut because I want to see their eyes, and sometimes I cut the beard hair, it gets so long it hangs in the water bowl. Keep the hair.!!!
