Default Question about being hyper

Taffy just turned one a couple of weeks ago. Since this is our first Yorkie, I guess I need some assurance that personality changes are normal. (No changes in eating, etc.)

Two other factors besides her age may be affecting her: (1) It is bitterly cold here and (2) We just returned from a 2-week holiday with her where she was the center of our universe 24/7...even more so than usual.

The change is that she's not as hyper as she was. In fact, she's turned into a major little cuddle-bug. It's really quite special but a bit out of character for her and I don't know if it's normal or she's sad about something (if that makes any sense). We are back to our home retirement routine and although we are with her 24/7, our total attention is not focused on her as it was on vacation. (Plus, both of us are experiencing some health issues that have temporarily slowed us down...could that be a factor, too?)

The cutest thing she's started doing before she settles down to cuddle is to get her face about 3 inches from our faces and cocks her head as if to ask if we're okay. She just seems so much older in the last two weeks. (She was spayed in October in case that's relevant.)

When we play her favorite games with her, she's just as energetic and lively as ever. I guess I'm just being an anxious mama.
