Well, I've been away from the boards for a few weeks now. (Santa brought a Kindle and all spare time has been spent reading.)
I don't know about all the drama-rama that went on but I totally agree with Robin that it is sad that Renee had to make such a post although I respect her for doing so.
It seems to me that when someone makes an intelligent and responsible decision in the best interest of their pet, it behooves us as a community to support their integrity...especially when we know the poster as we do her. When we let ourselves become judge and jury here just because we "might" have done something differently, the community is weakened.
One of my favorite "teacher" posters (signs) seems particularly applicable when we decide our personal judgments trump others. It simply says, "You have the right to remain silent. Please exercise it."
Renee, I applaud you for your actions insuring the best life and future for Jazzy in spite of the pain of giving her up. I wish you peace in what had to be a difficult decision. |
