Jk.. right thread.. haha

Please read this fully.

From: Neutering Your Pet Dog: Is This Very Essential? | How To Have A Happy Dog

Males

1. Removes the sexual urge and the chances of him wandering off (and perhaps getting hit by a car or injured in a flight).
2. May reduce certain types of aggression.
3. Reduces the risk of hormone-related diseases.
4. Reduces the risk of anal and perineal cancers.
5. Eliminates the risk of testicular cancer.
6. Significantly reduces the risk of prostate gland problems.

"they are also less likely to mark their territory by urinating in the house (testosterone is one of the major drives for this dominance-related activity). In addition, neutered male dogs are much less likely to be aggressive toward other male dogs. These behavior benefits are particularly true if you castrate your dog between the ages of 9 and 12 months, before he becomes sexually mature and develops bad habits." Spaying or Neutering Your Dog - For Dummies

There is a high chance of him marking in the house. It is really fun to find pee spots on the wall, carpet, clothes, etc. NOT! I got Scruffs first at 11 months and he marked for two months (I had him on and off, deciding if I was keeping him). Finally after he got neutered he stops. He also used to do this heavy, heavy panting and drooling while sniffing a dogs privates... he would chew on male dogs parts... if his owner had gotten him neutered I would have adopted him way sooner and not had to deal with all of these bad behavior. He now sniffs and plays with other dogs normally. Even though your dog is not aggressive, marking, or obsessed with other dogs now, there is a much higher chance he will be. Not to mention you can be guaranteed he isn't going to add to the millions of homeless dogs out there already. He might escape and travel to find a female in heat, and who knows he might not come back.

Rumor (in bold). Truth explained.

"My dog has a right to experience sex. Sex, for a dog, is nothing more than the result of a powerful instinctive drive to reproduce. People who worry about this issue are usually over-identifying with their dog. This is an excuse often presented by men, who cringe at the very idea of castration—even though it is a painless surgical procedure being performed on their dog, not on them.

Altering makes a dog lazy. Neutering reduces a male dog’s desire to roam (often over long distances) to find female dogs in heat, and altering can somewhat reduce a dog’s energy level. Altering does not make dogs lazy. Altered dogs are as playful and energetic as intact dogs.

Altering changes a dog’s personality. The only personality changes that result from spaying or neutering are the positive changes described above—no roaming, less tendency to mark territory, and less aggression. Aside from these changes, your dog will be no less like himself than humans are after undergoing vasectomy or oophorectomy (removal of the ovaries).

Why Spay/Neuter (THIS SITE IS GOOD, you should read through it).

I hope from that you realize how important it is to neuter your dog. It is so frustrating having a dog that marks since you can't train it out of them. Please get him neutered for the sake of your dog and to prevent any accidental litters.
