 Agreed-Carrots are Yorkie Crack
We always steam them after slicing them into coins or we put them into a microwave safe bowl with a couple teaspoons of water, saran wrap and micro wave them for 1 1/2 mins. so they are soft. (and after waiting about 5-10 mins to cool or after running them under cool water)
I heard that the baby carrots aren't great because they are treated with chlorine. While the amount is small and it is safe for humans, I am concerned it could affect a 8 lb. Yorkie so we always get the full size and just peel them. Its funny becasue as soon as he sees it, game on! He won't leave the kitchen until he gets one |
