She will not go to the backseat, nor will she go into a bag (she thinks she's my protector of sorts, and gets v upset when she can't make eye contact w/me.

We have a Bounder from Petsmart. It is like a car seat that attaches just like a child car seat. It has a hook for the harness and GL can sit up and look around or lay down and sleep. It is adjustable with an air bag in the bottom and has storage. He was in it when he was less than a year old and we got hit real hard in the driver side. He sits behind the driver. We got pushed into the meridian and both my husband and I hit our heads on the sides of the doors. He never moved and was completely safe. He is never in the truck with out the car seat.
