A hernia would be my guess too from the description. If so, when you have her spayed, a hernia could be repaired.
Talk to your breeder again, bc I don't believe you can actually feel a "shunt", especially the type of shunt (liver) associated with yorkies.
Even after talking to your breeder, have your girl checked by a vet. Your breeder doesn't sound very knowledgeable about yorkies, if she were she wouldn't have let pups go until 12 weeks.
