I don't really see Jack Russell... I think he's probably just a poorly bred Yorkie and I don't mean that in a bad way, lol. My boy is 12lbs at 1 year old and I get ALL the time... "That's a Silky!" or "there's no way he's a Yorkie!" I've had a few people tell me he looks like a Cairn Terrier even. Like you -- I didn't get him from a good breeder or anything but I did see his mom and a photo of the dad and they were both smaller than he is now (8 and 9 lbs) so he just kept growing, LOL. Personally, I prefer the look of the "non standard" Yorkies, I love floppy ears (even tho Jackson's aren't floppy) and I love the bigger ones... I don't know what it is, I just do. |
