what happens is the antibiotic kills the good bacteria and the bad bacteria so what happens is the bad bacteria this one takes over so it can be a vicious cycle for a dog on immune suppressant drugs like dd who is on temarilp - so the antibiotics will kill again the good and bad again and i am going to load her up with probiotics again along with it and hopefully she will get balanced out again. This why antibiotics are tricky as it can be a double edge sword for a dog with a suppressed immune system like dogs with allergies like dd has as you try to suppress the immune system as it is hyperactive with allergies then you open the door for bacterial issues as the immune system cannot fight off bad bacterias as it is suppressed this is why she is such a difficult case and she has hypothyroid as well which is an auto immune disease so she is on drugs for her thyroid - NOW YA KNOW MY NIGHTMARE oh and throw in the mvd liver issue so she cannot process meds well you have a double whamy
